How much is a diagnostic visit?
For home appliances it is $90, or $120 in Manhattan. For HVAC and commercial equipment it is $120, or $160 in Manhattan. The fee is per unit.
Does the diagnostic fee go toward the repair?
Yes. If you decide to go ahead with the repair, the diagnostic fee goes toward it.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
The same symptom can have several causes, so we diagnose first. After the diagnosis you get an exact estimate for parts, labor and tax to approve before any work starts.
What areas do you serve?
Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island. We don't serve the Bronx or New Jersey.
What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM. We are closed on weekends.
How soon can you come?
We offer the next available weekday arrival windows. Call or send a request and we'll give you real options.
Which brands do you repair?
Most major brands, old or new, as long as parts are available: Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Bosch, Miele, Liebherr, Samsung, LG, GE, Cafe, Monogram, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, JennAir, Frigidaire, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Dacor, Bertazzoni, BlueStar, Speed Queen and Asko.
Do you use original parts?
Yes, we use OEM replacement parts.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Repairs come with a 6-month parts and labor warranty, and sealed-system repairs with a 1-year warranty.
Will the repair be finished in one visit?
Many repairs are finished on the first visit. If a part has to be ordered, it usually arrives in 2 to 5 business days, and we come back to install it.
How can I pay?
Credit and debit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, checks and cash.
Are you insured? Can you send a COI to my building?
Yes. We are fully insured and EPA 608 Universal certified, and we can provide a Certificate of Insurance for your building.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes: a senior and military discount, and 10% off for returning customers. Just mention it when you book.
Do you repair window or portable air conditioners?
No. We service ductless mini-splits, central air and heat pumps, but not window, wall or portable units.
What appliances don't you service?
Portable dishwashers, portable washers and dryers, TVs, small kitchen appliances, vacuums, garbage disposals, and plumbing or gas line work.
Is it worth repairing an older appliance?
Often it is, especially built-in and premium appliances. If a repair would cost more than the appliance is worth, we tell you honestly.
Where do I find the model number?
Look for a sticker inside the refrigerator door or wall, around the washer or dryer door opening, on the edge of the dishwasher door, or behind the oven drawer. A photo of the sticker helps us bring the right part.
