Long drying times? Check the vent too
A clogged or crushed vent is one of the most common reasons a dryer runs hot and dries slowly, and lint build-up is a fire risk. We check airflow on every dryer call and can clean the vent from your unit. If you notice a burning smell, stop using the dryer until it is checked.

We service the appliance itself. Gas line work must be done by a licensed plumber.
Price and warranty
The diagnostic visit is $90 ($120 in Manhattan) per appliance, and it goes toward the repair if you decide to go ahead. After the diagnosis you get an exact estimate for parts, labor and tax to approve before any work starts. Repairs carry a 6-month parts and labor warranty (1 year on sealed-system repairs).
Common questions
Why does my dryer run but not heat?
On electric dryers it is often a heating element, a thermal fuse or a thermostat. On gas dryers it is often the igniter or the gas valve coils. A blocked vent can trip the safety parts too, so we check airflow as well.
Do you repair ventless and heat-pump dryers?
Yes. Ventless and heat-pump dryers are common in NYC apartments, and we service them regularly.
