Gas oven not heating?
A worn igniter is one of the most common causes when a gas oven heats slowly or won't ignite. We test it before replacing anything, because the gas valve or the control can cause the same symptom.

Gas safety
If you smell gas, leave the apartment and call your gas utility or 911. We repair the appliance itself. Gas line work must be done by a licensed plumber.
Price and warranty
The diagnostic visit is $90 ($120 in Manhattan) per appliance, and it goes toward the repair if you decide to go ahead. After the diagnosis you get an exact estimate for parts, labor and tax to approve before any work starts. Repairs carry a 6-month parts and labor warranty (1 year on sealed-system repairs).
Common questions
How do I know if the oven igniter is bad?
A weak igniter glows but doesn't open the gas valve, so the oven takes a long time to heat or doesn't heat at all. We measure it during the diagnosis to be sure.
Do you repair professional ranges?
Yes, including Wolf, Viking, Thermador, BlueStar and Bertazzoni, as long as parts are available.
